Los callejones de Venecia me inspiraron, sobretodo la parte menos turistica y pobre, que disfruta de la mas absoluta tranquilidad y de la iglesia de San Nicolò dei Mendicoli, para mi, una de las mas bonitas de ese laberintico lugar.

La recolecta

Hoy 23 de Abril, se celebra la fiesta de Sant Jordi (Jorge).
Todo empieza con una pequeña historia de un dragón malvado que ataca a un pueblo, y este para no acabar en la ruina y salvar sus vidas, terminan ideando un plan:
"Cada día le darán una oveja a ese monstruo, así no los atacará".
Pero como siempre pasa ... las ovejas se les acaban ... y hacen un sorteo entre la gente del pueblo para elegir quién será el siguiente en formar parte de la dieta de la bestia ... total que le toca a la hija del rey ... pero al último momento llega un caballero, mata al dragón, salva a la princesa, se enamoran, se hacen el beso de película y acaban felices ...
a sí ... y de la sangre del dragón brotan rosas.

Muy bonito ... y un cuento muy completo ... por eso en esta fiesta es típico regalar una rosa y un libro a la persona que te gusta ...

Y ahora hablamos de la ilustración que he adjuntado en esta entrada:
Realizada con tinta china y acuarela, y muchas, muchas, muchas tramas.

Titulada La recolecta, la idea de esta ilustración era que el punto de luz diera importancia a la ninfa, y que el color resaltase a la niña.

Today is April 23, in Barcelona there is the festival of Sant Jordi (George).
It all starts with a short history of an evil dragon attacking a village, and this to not end in ruin and save their lives, devising a plan:
"Every day they'll give  a sheep to this monster and not attack."
But as always happens ... ewes were just finished ... and do a raffle among the common people to choose who is the next part of the diet of the beast ... total is up to the daughter of the king ... but at the last moment, a knight slays the dragon, saves the princess fall in love, make a movie kiss and everybody happy ...
whether ... and the dragon's blood sprouted roses.

Very nice ... and a very complete story ... so at this event is typical to give a rose and a book to the person you like ...

And now talking about the picture I've attached in this post:
Made with ink and watercolor, and many, many, many frames.

Entitled La recolecta, the idea of ​​this cartoon was that the point of light gave importance to the nymph, and the highlight color to the girl.

Continuando con mis ilustraciones sobre el cuento de la niña que hace una visita turística por Barcelona, ​​pasando por el Parque Guell y por la Sagrada Familia ...

Esta escena viene de una canción popular catalana que hace siglos que se canta, y dice así:

"Si mireu allà dalt en els estels que hi ha
És un gros animal Que en bicicleta va
És un elefant I doncs que us penseu!
Té una cua al darrera i una altre al davant"

Traducido sería algo así...

Si miráis allá arriba en las estrellas que hay
Es un gordo animal Que en bicicleta va
Es un elefante Y pues que os pensáis!
Tiene una cola detrás y otra delante

 Pasé toda mi infancia cerca de la Sagrada Familia, y aunque siempre tuve, y sigo teniendo, el sueño de poder viajar a Estados Unidos, Alaska y Canadá (entre otros paises), siempre pensé que si hubiera nacido por ejemplo en Nueva York, seguro que mi sueño hubiera sido viajar hasta Barcelona y poder ver la Sagrada Familia.

La ciudad condal ha sido siempre mi hogar, me he encontrado como en casa en muchos otros países, gracias a la simpatía de la gente, sus costumbres y la cultura gastronómica de muchas regiones, que realmente se merecen ser aplaudidas. Pero no podré nunca dejar de lado mi ciudad, y su Sagrada Familia, que me vio crecer y me ha acompañado desde siempre.

Trabajo realizado con acrílico y tinta.
